Here’s are recipes to get you on your way.
Chocolate Ginger Wake Up Call
6 ice cubes
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup Almond milk
4-5 pitted hydrated Dates
4 strips (cut or pulled apart) Crystallized Ginger
4 .oz Dark Chocolate organic lowfat yogurt (whatever brand you like)
1 1/2 tablespoons Flax seed
Blend all ingredients in blender
Raw Veggie & Fruit Salad
Add as many or as few raw veggies. Take it easy on the fruit. Fruit produces sugar (fructose). Detoxing is about cleansing the body of toxins and waste; Trimming fat from the belly-ABS start in the kitchen. Only drink distilled water during your detox. Drink water with every meal. 8 .oz in the morning before eating. Water helps kick start your metabolism, relieves stiffness by lubricating the joints. Just as oil lubricates machinery.
1/2 cup Broccoli Slaw
1 gala apple
1 Bartlett Pear
1 Persian Cucumber (seedless, thinner and less coarse than regular cucumbers)
3-4 red & yellow mini bell peppers (sweet)
3-4 clippings Wheatgrass
1-2 Tbsp. Flax seed (omega 3 & Fiber)
2 pinches Lemon Pepper
2 fresh squeezed Key Limes (brings out flavor in salad and makes the apples taste even sweeter)
You can use any apples you like and pears. These are what I like.
Chop all ingredients into small pieces. Layer bottom of bowl with Broccoli Slaw. Add Apples, Pears, Cucumbers, Bell Peppers, Wheat Grass and flax Seed. Squeeze Key Lime juice over ingredients. Sprinkle with Lemon pepper. Toss salad or to really cover the salad with Key Lime Juice, cover bowl and shake vigorously. Chill for 20-30 minutes and enjoy.
Makes 2 servings.
